How far along do you have to be so you can get your first ultrasound?

I got my first ultrasound when I was 7 weeks it was also a vaginal ultrasound

I got my very first one I was 13 weeks because due to insurance problems I was unable to Go to a doc but I've had 3 so far I'm 30 weeks currently

I got mine at 8 weeks!

I had one at 6wk because it was my 2nd baby and they knew I'd be high risk again. All they can see at that point tho was the sac. Had another at 10wks and they could see the heartbeat but best one will be anatomy at 20wks :)

I got one at 7 weeks but mine was from a clinic because I had a miscarriage months before and to help me be calm they gave me one so I could see the baby was there and growing with a perfect little heartbeat.

I had a transvaginal ultrasound when I was 5w4d thinking I was 6-7w. They could pick up on a heartbeat but being a first time Mum and being so early, I couldn't make much out on the screen so they explained it all :)
I'm having my second ultrasound in the next two weeks :)

I got my first ultrasound at 5 weeks pregnant & it was transvaginal she tried doing it how it's normally done but at 5 weeks you can't really see anything , so that's why . When your so soon into your pregnancy they do it transvaginally . ( spell check ) toget a better view.

Your right its called transvaginal. Here's some info^^. They usually do it this way at the first appointment because it is easier to see the baby as he/she is very small.

My first ultrasound was at my first appointment because they have to determine your due date. Its more accurate earlier on in pregnancy than later. Just be prepared it will probably be a vaginal one.

I seen on here before that someone got one at 6 weeks so I was just wondering

Usually they do one for dating purposes at your first or second appt then an anatomy scan at 20 weeks
