flavored water?

I just found out I'm 7 weeks pregnant with twins! My doctor told me he wants me drinking 12 bottles of water a day. I know it's in my head but after the 1st few bottles I start to gag and want to throw up. Do any of you know if adding flavor to the water is ok and if so what kind would you recommend?

Remember that your blood volume doubles so you need a lot more fluids than usual to keep from getting lightheaded and dehydrated. Crystal light is okay but I'd ask your Dr. Mine told me to try to avoid artificial sweeteners, which crystal light is loaded with.

That's what I thought too. 12 bottles a day is crazy. But they said I need to have enough water for both babies so my body doesn't take away from the babies. And I never thought to naturally flavor water. That's a good idea thanks!

If you want to naturally flavor your water you can add frozen strawberries or go online and look at the different recipe's that people do like cucumber melon mint you just have to make it the night before and refrigerate. That way you avoid all the chemicals and still get flavored water.

Make sure the crystal light flavor that you chose is caffeine free. A lot of the crystal light mixes contain caffeine

Thanks ladies for your answers. I was just nervous about the flavor packets because of the sugar. But I am definitely going to try the crystal light.
