flu shot?

My doctor keeps telling me that I should get the flu shot im 24 weeks pregnant and everytime I got the flu shot before I was pregnant I would always get sick im not sure if I should get one because I can't take meds.

I had mine yesterday and feel rotten today can't move my arm and I had to phone in sick! But just think its for the baby not u :-) x

I had the same concerns, but my ob said that as long as you make sure you get the one that isnt a live virus, it is completely safe for you and baby, and if you get the flu it can kill you and baby SO I decided it wasnt worth the chance :)

I've never had a flu shot in my life.  Its ur choice though.  Good luck.

I had mine done after the midwife told me of one of her women who got flu while pregnant ended up on a ventilator for 6 months (i remember it being in the local news too) i didnt get sick after mine, its not a live virus so u cant get the actual flu from it. Id rather of gotten sick for a couple of days tho than have the actual flu
