Yes, the shot is safe. And actually your immune system is weaker while you're pregnant because all your energy goes to baby, so it's easier to get sick. And flu shots don't cause autism. Just ignore that post (: Talk to your doctor, they'll say the same thing.
It's safe when it's inactive meaning not a live virus (e.g. flu mist) if it was administered through an injection you and your baby are fine! No worries =) I work in an immunization clinic.
As long as you get the shot and not the live virus (nasal ) the flu shot is perfectly healthy and recommended when pregnant.
I'm not trying to scare you or anything but I was going to go and get my flu shot and my doc said that they have been proven to cause autism, so I just said forget it, I haven't got sick or anything yet and I was around my grandmother that had a cold, when you are pregnant it's a little harder for you to catch a bug...I'm not saying you can't get sick I'm just saying you won't get one as easy as if u weren't pregnant.
It's good for you and for bub. it will protect him/her for the first 6month's once there born. I had it wen I 1st fell pregnant. Some people get the flu once they have the needle but I never had any side effects :)
They don't know im pregnant, i went for a whole different reason
Awe thank you! I was so worried
If it was bad they wouldn't give it to u....and it protects baby for up to 6 months after they are born.
It's actually good for your baby ! Most doctors recommend you get it during your pregnancy because first of all, you don't want the flu whole pregnant, and second of all, the antibodies get passed from you to baby so they'll be protected for the first few months of their life.
