Peace and love you guys just drop it no need to get overwhelmed were all dealing with a lot without getting yelled at by others so lets just drop it take a breath and move on (:
Okay I didnt say there was 4 weeks in a month. I said that there is 4 weeks in a pregnancy month! Its much different so you can honestly stop calling me stupid. Obviously if you don't like what I have to say then dont comment on my stuff or ignore what I have to say!. I go by what my doctor tells me because I think she is more accurate!
And no ones pregers for 10 months lol thats just how the calender works it shows u can be preggo for 40 weeks
^^ agree :) pregnancy is enough without arguments about months and weeks lol
First off she posted this to help others out , many offices go by this not every dr is the same ..secondly if u dont go by it then get off the post she posted.. she was just trying to be helpful to others not have ppl be rude to her.
What does it matter how many months! Just work towards 40 weeks and be done with all this months talk. Who cares! ( can u tell im pregnant lol)
Your right rock rose! It technically is 8 and half months going by fetal age! There are 52 weeks in a year and 12 months so that equals 4.3 weeks roughly to a month. No matter how you work it 40 weeks is 9 months. Nobody just decides a month ends on the 28th, those last few days exist and they aren't part of an extra month. 40 weeks = 9 months!
I dont care about any chart i love my unborn child he can stay as long as he beeds as long as.he is healthy... haha rockrose im due jan 1st! 22 days cant wait!
This is correct Lol. There is no wrong way. Hahaha
You are in your 9th month from 36-40 weeks, but that's being 9 months and one week, 9 months and two weeks, etc and once you hit 40 you've been pregnant for 10 months. That's why after 35/36 weeks doctors won't stop labor because you're in your ninth month. Don't be rude.
This is the silliest post ever. For those that think you are pregnant for 10 months and that there are exactly 4 weeks every month please look at a calendar. Count how many weeks are actually in a month. You see those extra days every month? Those days don't magically disappear when you are pregnant, they also count toward your 40 weeks of pregnancy. If you actually count out the weeks on a calendar it adds to 9 months.
@ RockRose I'm due January 4th and its says possible conception date is between April 9th-17th so how is that. I'm a ftm so I'm just wondering.
I didn't mean your post. I meant the post that was posted. I go by the chart my health insurance sent me.
Which is the one that says
1-4=1
5-8=2
9-13=3
14-17=4
Etc...
What's false about it?
I know everyone feels like they're pregnant for 10 months - it even feels like you're pregnant for a year.
But you're only pregnant for 8 and a half months.
Where do you see the mistake?
This would be such an easy discussion to have if we were all sitting around a table with a calendar on the table.
The funniest thing is, you aren't pregnant even for 9 months. You're only pregnant for 8 1/2 months because you get the 2 "free" weeks at the beginning because the 40 week count starts at the first date of your last regular period.
So. Here's how the calendar works.
If you are due this January 1, you got pregnant around April 10th. So:
April 10 to May 10 is one month
May 11 - June 10 is two months
June 11 to July 10 is three months
July 11 - August 10 is four months
August 11 - September 10 is five months
Sept 11 - Oct. 10 is 6 months
Oct. 11 - Nov. 10 is 7 months
Nov. 11 - Dec. 10 is 8 months
Dec. 11 - Jan 1 (the 40 week, 9 months pregnant) you've actually been pregnant for 8 months and 3 weeks.
Not 10 months.
Not all doctors use the same chart so you can't say what she posted was wrong. No chart is 100% right anyways since no one knows exactly the day they conceived just saying!
If that's the way your doctor explained it to you then you need to find a new doctor. 40 weeks equals 9 months. Look at a calendar or go back to school. I don't know why you're really trying to argue this. You look silly.
Hi ladies - 4 weeks per month isn't strictly true. That would mean each month only has 28 days (7 days per week x 4 weeks = 28 days), and that only applies to February.
nkm_xo posted a pretty accurate guide. Technically, each trimester lasts 13.33 weeks (40 weeks divided into 3 equal trimesters).
When people ask how far along you are, they aren't usually trying to test your math skills, so it's often easier to give a rough estimate, like "around 5 months."
Not every month have 4weeks. Some month have 5weeks
My mom keeps saying its 10 months, something about extra weeks in some months? I look at this photo which says
FIRST TRIMESTER
1 month- 1-4
2 months- 5-8
3 months-9-13
SECOND TRIMESTER
4 months- 14-17
5 months- 18-21
6 months- 22-26
THIRD TRIMESTER
7 months- 27-30
8 months- 31-35
9 months- 36-40
So you can look at it as 9 months like that or 10 months with 4 weeks in each month. Weird.
Again what is the 13th month of the year called? You can't make a month up. You can't just chop days out of months. It's just not possible. But hey, each to their own. Until you can tell me the name of this magical month I will follow the calendar of the year.
I'm going by the way my doctor explains it to me!
Your pregnant for a whole month before you get a positive pregnancy test. So all in all 40 weeks in 10 months.
I'm pregnant with my second and every OB that I've had (3) have explained it this way as well.
