gender reveal party

Did anyone have a gender reveal party ? Or is having one ?  I'm having on and I'mso nervous does anyone have any suggestions on what I should get I don't want to get too much stuff since it's only going to be my family but finding a cake is so hard ! Ha any ideas!?

I seen a really fun idea on Pinterest where you buy either pink or blue silly string and replace or cover the label with a plain white one and give one to each of your guests to spray around or at eachother.

I had one...i didnt do too much, just had close fam & frens...had the cake which was designed like a present & said on top "what shall it be...?" & had pink & blue lemonade, pink & blue decor & made dinner

I like the gift card idea I want to make it somewhat interactive ! Buht yauh I think I'm just going to spend a lot on the cake buht o well I really like the cake idea thanks yuh ! It helps a lot ! I dont want anything to go wrongg !  Did anyone bring gifts tho?

A matter of fact I just had one last weekend. I didn't do much and my family still had a good time. I made mine a Potluck that way I didn't have to worry about making much. I cut out pink and blue pieces of paper and when everyone came in I had them pick a color in which they thought it was a boy or girl.I also had them put their names on it. I then put the ultrasound (it was on a disk) on the TV and let everyone see the BOY picture :-) All the right guesses I put in a hat drew a name and the winner got a 25.00 gift card. I didn't do a cake a girl I work with just made cake pops it had no significance to the party.

I maybe spent 60.00 total including plates and napkins that were pink and blue. Hope this helps :-)
