They tend to put u on a bland diet, u even have to monitor ur fruit intake. People with gestational diabetes are also prone to having bigger babies normally. My friend had this n her son was 6 lbs. 11 oz. My cousin who had this had a c section bcuz they were expecting her to have a 15 lb. Baby but her daughter ended up being 10 lbs. Still on the big side but 5 lbs less than she thought.
I had it but my midwife didn't test till I was in my last trimester (stupid on her part) my diet was full of carbs, greasy food and chocolate! (By the time i found out i was already 33 weeks) It ended up getting so bad I had to inject myself with insulin everyday, prick my finger to check how much sugar was in my blood AND get induced 2 weeks early. My blood sugar levels were averaging a 15! (meant to be a 8 I think?) You REALLY need to watch what you eat because it affected me physically and mentally, it and so affects baby too
