I had it with my second child and was was on blood pressure medicine for the last half of my pregnancy and I never developed anything bad from it I was just very closely monitored.
Oh and it does go away a few months after the baby is born, for me I think it took about 8 months. So don't get upset if it doesn't instantly go away after birth.
Oh ok...it was just weird that it popped up this late..I fight know it could take that long to go away! Well thank you I feel better!
I experienced this with 4 of my children. I was put on medication for high blood pressure. I was induced with all of them between 34 and 38 weeks. I was closely monitored. You should be fine since you are 39 weeks. Follow the doc orders. If u feel anything different (headache, severe swelling, etc) call the doc. Good luck.
Up until now my blood pressure was perfect..so I was hoping since its so late it won't affect the baby..I really didn't want to be induced but I'm going back Tuesday and she said if I haven't progressed (I'm only 2 centimeters dilated) she will induce me..I just want to make sure my baby girl is ok!
She will be fine. In my cases my pressure was good until the last few weeks. They say if u have it with one kid Ur chances are high that u will have it again.
