anyone else? im. a FTM

Has anyone else had an episiotomy?? Hiw long did ut take to heal?

My friend got one and said it wasn't that bad and healed within the 6 weeks given but she said it stopped hurting like 2 weeks after. Hopefully they just let me rip though.

I can honestly say I didnt feel anything and it hurts but not bad at all

After about 2 months, sex felt like normal.  It wasn't that bad.

I had one.
It took 5 weeks for me to heal and for the stitches to dissolve

I tore very little and glad I didn't have to have an episiotomy. Think of a piece of paper if you cut it and then put  pressure on it it is likely to rip more where as if you just put pressure on it it might not even rip! I know weird analogy but it works lol

It was not bad at all i had it and the healing of it made the stitches itch like crazy

I had one yesterday and honestly yes its painful but it had to be done  since my daughters heart was going up

With 3 of my labors my first one i tore and honestly id rather be torn then be cut!!!!

I've watched videos of it and done a lot of research (I'm due in November) and I definitely don't want one! They take a long time to heal and a lot of women complain of having pain during sex for years. Women who naturally tore had faster recovery and not as many problems
