Just came in to the Dr to get my glucose test done diabetes runs in my family so I'm freaking out...has anyone had a test that came bck positive for diabetes while pregnant? What did you have to do or change?

I failed both my test with my first pregnancy.. I changed my eating habits and controlled my gestational diabetes... I thought my whole pregnancy- oh it won't happen to me, only bigger people get gestational diabetes, so I ate like a pig... Sure enough :/ I got it!): trying to control my diet now to ensure I won't get it with this pregnancy

Yu may have passed then! I failed my one hour test n got a call the next mornin saying I failed...usually no news is good news

Omg so scary it runs in my family and I see how my family has to deal with it...but I haven't gotten the results yet so I don't know the outcome yet

If you fail the 1hr GTT then you would be sent for a 3hrGTT and more then likely need to follow a diet set by a nurtitionist to help lower your sugar.  Hopefully everything will be ok.  Good luck to you

Which test did you do? There's the one hour test (which many fail) and the two or three hour test you have to have if you fail the first.
