glucose test?

I have my glucose test this friday what should i expect??

I had to drink an orange flavor drink 15 min before my appointment, I waited an hour & they took blood that was it for me. I didn't have to fast!

I was sent home with the drink and told to eat a small amount of protein for breakfast (if anything) at least two hours *before* I drank the drink. Then I was told to record the exact time I started the drink (about an hour before my appointment) and to finish it in five minutes. Then head to my appointment and let them know what time I started the drink so they knew when to take my blood. They did a finger stick for blood and by the end of the appointment I knew what my blood sugar result was, as well as a hemoglobin count (to check for iron levels).

I had to fast from 10pm the night before my appointment was at 9.20am they take bloods get you to drink a sugary drink make u sit for 2 hours they will then take more bloods to see how your body reacted to the drink. Mine before were 4.0 then after 2 hours 4.6 so im ok. Ull then have to ring up for your results.

I had to wait 2 hr , first they took blood than I had the drink 1 hr later they took blood again than I had to wait another hour and they took some more blood

I was told I didn't need to fast. I got there had 5 min to drink a small bottle of lemon lime tasting soda like drink. Waited an hour they took blood. Then done!

I didnt have to fast at all but I didnt eat like a couple hours before. I had my drink already prior to my appt before and drank it an hour before my appt and they took blood from me and then I left

Youll have to fast 8 hours prior to when you plan on going in. Once you get there they will take 2 vials of blood and hand you a drink which will be the glucose. You'll have 5 minutes to drink the whole bottle once you start. Then you'll wait an hour and finally take one more vial of blood then youll be all set to leave. (At least thats what happened at my glucose app)
