gripe water???

Does this stuff work and what does it do??
My baby is 7 days old and has been really fussy since last night, not a continuous fuss, but my mil says she is feeling my anxiousness, and me and BD were frustrated with eachother last night because I was so tired and wouldn't/couldn't sleep, and now I'm worried I've ruined her :/
She does get pretty gassy too!!

Our baby boy Is 6 weeks old and he has been super fussy lately. We tried everythin' to try to calm him down and wouldn't help. He would actually go without sleep for almost a whole day then when he would go to sleep, he wouldn't want to wake up to eat and would sleep for the whole night If I let him, but I was told not to let them sleep (well, not be fed) over 3 hours. And there's no where on the bottle that says not to use It until he's two. It works like a charm.

I've been nervous since I had her, I think I got the baby blues, we have had a couple small arguments while she was sleeping. It makes me feel bad, but the arguments start over me not sleeping, and his tone .. uhh I just hope I can reverse this. Thank u for the info on the gripe water!

hey momma, the label on gripe water says not to use gripe water until baby is 2 months old, but you can use infacol from birth.     my BD asked midwife about whether we should give baby boy it but she said as long as they burping and farting okay then we don;t need to use it, only if baby stops passing gas.   Try not to let baby feel your anxiousness - if it was one time, baby shouldn't remember that the next time you lift them unless you are constantly anxious.   between 7-10 days, baby boy went through a wee growth spurt and was quite fussy and unsettled and fed +++ but it calmed down after day 10 x
