group b strep infection

Im a ftm 10+5 and I have gbs(group b strep infectio.) Has anyone had this during there pregnancy?

I don't think it is an infection per say. i had it and the way it was discribed to me was that it was a naturally occuring bacteria that some women just have. doesn't effect us but could be harmful to baby if no antibiotics are given.

I found out 7weeks thru my urine still not sure of what causes the infection

I had gbs when i had my daughter, they gave me meds while in labor and she came out prefectly fine, she is 4 now!

I have it... They found it in my urine around 23 weeks. Gave me antibiotics for 10 days and will have to be given antibiotics 4 hours before delivery thought my IV.

My little sis has GBS and they administered an antibiotic when she went into labor and right before delivery. It's not bad and with the medication they give during labor baby has a very very VERY slim chance of getting it.
