i just started taking the prenantal vitamins this week. im eaating pretty healthy as far as i know. im sure i could be eating a little more protein but im healthy. my hair had thinned a little while back and that was just an after affect of being super sick and now its happening again and i havent been sick just pregnant so its worrying me. ive always had thick hair and still havent recovered and it all of a sudden decided to fall out again it really scares me
ok the same thing happened to me this pregnancy as last - i lost a lot in the beginning then i didnt lose ANY. all the sudden i didnt lose 1 hair i didnt even clean out my hair for months. then after birth it all falls out again.
when youre pregnant the hair growth cycle becomes much longer.
Your hair should not be thinning during pregnancy. Are you taking pre-natal vitamins? Are you eating healthy/have enough iron?
Usually hair gets thicker because of the prenatal vitamins. Do you take those at the moment? I was losing my hair because of the anemia. I didn't have enough iron and i was getting sick after vitamins. Once I started iron supplement I felt better and my hair stopped falling out. It happens also due to the hormonal storm in your body. Often after having a baby women lose a lot the hair but then it comes back. My hair dresses said that hair can fall out like every three months, and the new one grows in its place. So many things could be the cause. Just make sure you are eating well and don't have anemia! Wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy!
then i think u are lucky , because my hair getting thicker and they dont come off , i had to go get a really short hair cut to make my head lighter.
I've always heard that your hair gets thicker and healthier during pregnancy because of the prenatal vitamins. But honestly I haven't noticed a difference either way with my hair, I still lose as much as I ever did before I was pregnant. On the other hand all the pregnant women I asked said they didn't start noticing a positive change in their hair until around 6 months pregnant. So I'm not sure, with everything I'm sure it's different for every pregnancy and every women!
