has anyone banked cord blood for more than 1 child?

I banked Fionn's cord blood and just not sure about doing it again. I must admit that cost is the issue, but I dont want to regret not doing it in the future. what would you do?

I dont recall getting a discount. I was told to go watch a video of some sort or sign up for something, obviously I havent gotten around to it yet, but that would give me a discount I guess...I would love any discount you have to offer =)

I banked with CBR. The family discount is $400 off the intial  fee. The storage fee remains the same. Did they give you a  discount because I could send you a referral for $155 off.

I have been doing research on this, but I am preggers with my first. I spoke at length with the bank CBR and she said that cord blood is 100% match to the child and a 75% match to the sibling. The lady also told me that if you bank a second child that they had some sort of "family" discount on the price but I am not sure to what extent, if the discount only goes towards the yearly fee or if they give you a discount on the initial collection as well as the yearly storage fee. I am almost 100% sure that my husband and I are going to do the cord blood banking, I am only 18.5 wks, so we have time to scrimp and save monies and make arrangements.

I looked into it and think it is a very good idea, however the cost is just too much for us to do it.

I am trying to do that also, it is just that with a second child there is less to go around than before and I figured that it can be used on either child.

I have 2 children and didn't bank cord blood for either one - it just never occurred to me to do it.....and I never looked into it into any great detail, other than asking DH if he thought we should do it.....and he said "it's up to you" and we never pursued it.

If I had done it for my first, then I definitely would have done it for my second.  Maybe it's just me, but I'm trying very hard to be "fair":  what I've done for the first, I try to do for the second, if I can.
