When you or your doctor self checks even with gloves you/doctor is pushing bacteria from the outside in your vagina. Plus your risking possible breaking your water... If your body is trying to go into labor there really isn't nothing you can do.
Yea I have been contracting for a while too but not like how I've been lately but I'll call them and see smh it is scary I just want to make sure she comes safe and sound
I've been having contractions for months and I am not dilated. I'm a csection mommy too so I know how scary it can be! Call your doctor and ask them there opinion on what to do! Good luck :)
Honestly I dnt even know what strong is lol I'm the type of person that knows pain is just a mind thing and if you try not to focus so much on it it won't hurt as much with my first I was chilling I felt contractions but I just kept telling people I felt strange that's my way of describing pain I went in just because and I was having contractions and dilating my contractions last night felt strong and I felt pressure with each one as if I had to push and walking this morning I felt like there was a change I could feel with each step my doctor said to save time just wait and see if my water breaks but I doubt it will with my first the had to do it I'm just so confused
If you're not having strong consistent contractions there's a good chance l&d will just send you home...but again don't check yourself even if you have gloves. Leave that to a medically trained professional.
Contractions make you dilate, so if they were strong last night it's a high chance your dilated...
I don't want to do vaginal birth because I rather not tear down there and I don't think I can push which was why I had my c section with my first she wouldn't go down no more and I couldn't get myself to push maybe I was thinking too hard about ripping bad but I rather the c section because with my first I recovered really good the only problem was the getting up the first time to walk but after that when I got home I was doing laundry cleaning taking care of my baby by myself because me and her dad weren't living together so I was mainly with her alone I was helping getting my brothers ready for school picking them up at the bus stop and I was not on no pain medication because I dnt want to turn out like my mother plus my sister's graduation party was three weeks later and I went wearing heels and helping decorate and clean up from morning after dropping my daughter to her dad to the next morning my friend who had a vaginal had issues and ripped bad so to me I rather have a cut on my stomach then a cut on or in my vaginal but everybody is different
I mean I understand all of that but I have gloves at my house lol that's all the doctors are doing to not cause an infection and my thing is I don't drive If I go I'll have to take the bus and if everything is fine I'll have to take the bus back and who knows how long it'll take them to check I mean do I just go in and say I think I have dilated can you guys check me before the busses stop running lol like would they just do that
Why don't u want to do a vaginal birth I had my daughter 4 days ago it was vaginal and my recovering is going very well I got home yesterday from the hospital and today I was cooking my own meals taking care of my 3 year old and my newborn and so far everything is fine ...so my question is didn't it took u long for ur recovery on ur first c section and sometimes its hard to do things u wanna do specially that u also have one child already ??? But I do respect ur decision just wondering
If you feel you are in labor or are having signs of labor it's better to go get checked. I wouldn't personally check myself just because I for one don't know what I'm looking for and don't want to cause infection.
I just commented back on mine lol but id say maybe go to your l@& since your having the contractions and im pretty sure they will check you?
You shouldn't ever check yourself. You risk introducing infection. Doctors are the only ones who should be checking you. They know what they're checking for and what to look for.
