I think labour has started but I am not sure. The pain feels like I have to go to the toilet when I dont. I have also had a bloody show. What are contractions meant to feel like as Im not sure if Im experiencing them or not?

Hi there!
You didn't mention whether you were due or not but I'm assuming that you are.My contractions (early on) felt like a tightening of my entire belly but everyone is different. It also sounds as though you lost your mucus plug as well, i.e.: the bloody show. I always called my doctors office to see what they wanted me to do. My thoughts are with you! Thanks :) Ive been getting pains in my abdomen but it doesnt feel like tightening. Like u said I am sure I will soon know lol.

You will feel a tightening of your abdomen.  If you are losing the mucus plug, then it is best to call the doctor and let them know that way they are aware that you may go into labor soon and they can also tell you at what interval they want you to go to the hospital.  Trust me, when the real contractions start, you will know it.
