Glucose test ?

I have to take another one this week... The first time they had me fast and I was like 10w this time I'm 26w and in my what to expect when ur expiring book said its a non fast test... And they never told me to fast so idk if I should or shouldn't. Did anyone not have to fast for thier glucose test ?

I would call your doc and ask. I've always had to fast.

It's the 1 hr one and my dr didn't say anything about fasting but yea doing it just in case so they don't have to do it again. Last time it made me dizzy waiting for that hr to pass

For the one hour test, ive always had to fast. I think it depends on the dr.

There are 3 different glucose tests. For the one hour one you don't fast for the two and three hour ones you have to. If your doctor told you to fast I would fast, because it could mess up the numbers if you don't.

I fast every time also just to be safe
