My friend was just wondering if ever time you go to the doctor do they drug test you
i assumed it was automatically one of the things that they use your urine sample for. i never worry about it cause i havent done any for a long time. but i personally think that you shouldnt use or smoke anything while pregnant. a baby is a gift and you should do your best to make sure that baby is healthly and not risk anything. but thats my opinion i know everyones is different. good luck to your friend.
At my doctor they take a urine sample at every appointment and no they don't have to tell you there drug testing
In Illinois they have to tell you if they are using your urine to do tests. Everyone's personal experiences are different. I am speaking from personal experience. :)
N the hospital automatically test the baby regardless if u showed up n a **** test or not that is by law they have to
Yeah my daughter had no health problems due to me smoking weed. N I don't speak from others I speak from my own experience with this so.... thanks sweetheart. N no they don't have to tell u. He'll I didn't know til they told me I was positive.
They don't have to tell you that they are testing you. When they do a urine sample, for whatever reasons that they are checking, it will just show up. Your friend should just stop doing drugs to be safe. Its whats best for the baby, and technically she is being super selfish if she is choosing drugs over her babies health. I asked my doctor about smoking weed while pregnant just out of curiosity because of the women on here and she told me it stays in your system for 3 months after the last time you smoked and if your baby tests positive at birth, they will take your baby away. I would hope that your friend stops asap so she doesn't lose her baby!
Weed is still very bad for the baby, and it's bad for breast milk after the baby is born. If she wanted to continue smoking she should have used protection. Drugs are drug, just because it grows from nature doesn't mean anything. Look up the effects of marijuana and pregnancy, it's very dangerous.
My dr hasnt tested me and i have never been asked to give a urine sample at my appts and im 34 weeks, but i heard the urine is to test for sugars and protien levels. The hospital doesnt check either unless u come in drunk or stoned when u give birth. Other places r different i guess. And it doesnt matter if its legal in ur state, its still illegal for pregnant women.
Ok? I saw it happen to a roommate but thank you for eliminating the possibility it could ever happen. They didnt tell my cousins wife they tested her and she popped positive on a test so they automatically tested every time after.
N they don't always take ur kid. Cps came to my house once n said everything was fine n never came back so the one poster is wrong. Now if ur doing crack or something crazy Ya they'll prolly take ur kid all depends on the worker n drugs u took
If u show up for the first time they will test u everytime. I smoked weed whole pregnancy n got tested everytime n when I gave birth they tested me n my daughter. n if ur kid comes up positive CPS. Will b called n come to ur house
They test you the first vist and then they will mke you sign a paper if the are going to test you again they say it's random but i think if they think you might be using then the test you but u have to sign a paper first the will test you at the hospital after u have the baby though
The urine samples you provide are for checking protein. They have to tell you if they are doing tests.
Thats what your urine samples are for lol its one of the things they test. If they get suspicious then they test. And will continue to if they have a hunch in a state thats illegal. Also in florida and arkansas they test your babys meconium after birth since the drugs will stay in the babys poop. If its positive they immediately take away your rights and out the child up for state custody.
