so scary :/

I was showering, washing my hair,  and got very light headed so I sat down on the floor of the shower and woke up 38 minutes later shaking because the water was now freezing cold.  All warmed up now but it scares me that I passed out like that :/ I'm 34w 2d pregnant and was told last week that I'm very anemic.  Wondering if this could possibly be the cause?  I am NEVER showering when I'm home alone again!

I had something similar I was showering then wen I got out I washed my teeth and I got this painful headache and I'm anemic too and the reason i reacted like that because i showered with hot water and my blood pressure got high i head to the hospital and they kept me in there for 3hrs monitoring my baby heart beat and my blood pressure they discharge me because baby and i were doing better I'm still with a light headache but if it gets stronger doctor wants me to head back to the hospital and maybe induce me

Ya, I would definitly let your doctor know because it can be from low blood sugar too. I have low blood sugar and it has made me start to pass out when I wasn't pregnant and I was just in the bathroom with the shower warming up.

The water was pretty hot, I will turn it down from now on and take quick showers while my bf is home just incase.  Tuesday I will need to call my doc just to let her know I think.

It is most likely due to you anemia, I get the same way when showering and my iron levels are extremely loe. I have never passed out in the shower but I have felt like I was going to. Next time make the water a little less hot, that usually helps me. Also taking quick showers may be a good idea.

That sounds terrifying. Probably right. Try eating lots of iron rich foods, or take iron vitamins along with your prenatals if your doc says it's ok. Glad you're ok!

Definitely can be the cause. Are you on an iron supplement?
