okay, thanks ladies I just really got worried about her. shes so close to being here and I think im just getting nervus
Thats normal. I go twice a week for non stress tests n thats what they want. They want ur babys heart beat to go up when they move around. It has to go up at least 3 times in 20 min. So dont worry.
Its pretty normal for babies heartbeats to jump up and down, its called fetal variability, a unique characteristic of a fetus. Its actually a sign of a healthy baby, if the heartbeat is too consistent (like always 140, never changing) its considered to be a negative. As long as the baby's rate is above 100's-110's it should be good. When they dont tolerate the contractions they tend to dip into the 90s-80's and thats when you would need to worry.
Lots of babies don't like contractions so their heart rate changes. Most doctors don't really get concerned unless the rate drops to 100 or lower or if it drops and doesn't go to normal quickly. If she sent you home just to rest then it's not something to really worry about. Do your kick counts a few times a day and don't be afraid to go in if you get too worried. I went in twice before I was induced to make sure baby was fine cause I had uterine irritation that started at 28 weeks.
Try not to stress I know easier said than done. Prayers for a safe delivery and healthy baby :)
I'm sorry! The best thing to do is what the doctor ordered try rest and stay a calm as you can. Have a friend over to keep your mind off it.
