help!!! bladder infection or preterm labor????

i am 17 wks and i been having cramps off and on everyday, multiple times a day now for five days. i went to the er they said it was a bladder infection, so does bladder infections make you cramp like this or could it be something more serious like preterm labor?

I would recommend you take your medication.. and yes bladder infection can cause terrible back pain and cramps.. if its untreated it can cause miscarriage.. preterm labour is used after 24wks...  

drink plenty of water, avoid sugary drinks and if possible take non sugary cranberry juice.. if your cramps do not go away even after taking medication and drinking water then you should go back to ER and ask them to check again...

Bladder infections can make you cramp. Take the meds they gave you and if they don't get better go back and get checked.
