help with miscarriage?

I have been told I am having a miscarriage and on the scan the sac measured at 6 weeks but I should have been 10 + 1 and the sac was empty. So the baby died over 4 weeks ago now I have had hardly any blood and I am not still only having some brown discharge but not a lot. When should I expect to actually miscarry? As it seems like 4 weeks is already a long time and it's such a horrible feeling knowing it has to come out but hasn't yet? Any advice would be good thank you

I have seen all the options about what to have done and have thought that I would have a d&c as I can't be waiting for it to happen it's horrible. I was just thinking that a lot of things on the Internet say that the miscarriage will take place in 2-3 weeks but the baby died over 4 weeks ago and I still haven't passed it. I've had no heavy bleeding and no cramps just a few spots and brown discharge since Friday

I had a similar experience at 13 weeks. Started spotting heavily on friday and on mon i was cramping and bleeding heavily. Saw the doc on tues and she said there wasnt even anythingthere that resembled a baby and most likely was empty to begin with. The doc can give you a pill to help contract your uterus to dispel any remaining tissue. They check via us to make sure you are cleaned out. If not the doc can either remove any lingering tissue pretty easily in exam or schedule a d& c.
