help!

Im 16 weeks pregnant and had quite a bit of blood since wednesday and it stopped last night, i went to doctors and they said i have to go for a scan to see if everythings okay but i have to wait a couple of days and im so scared, im just wondering if i did a pregnancy test would that work to check if everythings okay?

I went to the accident and emergancy, and they sent me home and said they are going to ring me with a scan date, they said i shouldnt worry too much because there is usually alot more blood if i was to be miscarrying and miscarriages are rare after 12 weeks but that doesnt mean im not, its just a nervous wait until i get a phone call

The good news is that you stopped bleeding. It's going to be hard, but the best thing to do is to wait it out. If you were still bleeding I would say, go ahead and go into the ER. But where you are not, you are okay. It could be what is called a threatened miscarriage. About half of all women go through this during pregnancy. It sounds scarier than it is. From this- only 30% actually miscarry.  It's like a bodies last chance to decide if the baby is viable to carry. If say you were the small 30%, taking a pregnancy test wouldn't help. The hormones in your body would linger for quite awhile after losing a baby. The only other option would be a blood test to see where the levels are. Again, it's a good sign that you stopped bleeding. good luck!

If ur bleeding that much since Wednesday u should have went to the emergency room. That could be a miscarriage. Idk if u taking a pregnancy test would help :/. When I gad mine that day I started to bleed heavy I went striaght to tge emergency room. I was bout ten weeks.   The dr told me that 89% of first time moms will miscarriage the first baby cause the body is not use to it. But the second time u get pregnant should be successful. I know from experience.  I gad a miscarriage.  My second baby is now 14months and I am 4 weeks 6 days now.  But good luck ma I hope all is well with u and ur lil blessing ill be praying for u.
