help..

I have been having a horrible time with this second pregnancy. I feel horribly stressed. I picked up smoking cigarettes after my first child and now I can't seem to quit. I have been trying this whole pregnancy but when I get close to being done I start back up. I crave the smell and taste of the menthol in the cigarettes and I know its not only bad for me but its horrible for the baby. It doesn't help that my fiancé smokes too and he doesn't seem at all interested I quitting smoking. Every time I see him smoke it makes me want one too..
Any advice for quitting would be great because everything I try fails. I'm due May 25th and I need to quit ASAP.

There's always ppl who are judgemental, and feel like they float instead of walk like the rest of us. If you are cutting down each day or week or month at least by a little you're doing great. Try cutting the cigarette as to make it shorter so you force yourself to smoke less. But do it as soon as you buy your pack. I'm glad you ask bc it shows you will improve. There's always a starting point to every path we take.

When I found out I was pregnant I'd been smoking since I was 13/14 and every time I thought about picking up a cigarette I imagined my baby getting less and less oxygen, it helped me quit cold turkey on that very day and I haven't touched one since finding out about baby :) in due in 7 weeks, good luck!!!

I have definitely cut down. I use to smoke a pack a day. Now I am down to just maybe 3-5 a day depending on how my day goes. Most of the time i can ease the need to smoke by eating grapes, which helps. And yeah I want to quit for my baby and myself. That's obviously why I asked for advice. Quitting is much more than willpower. I was kind of hoping for a more positive support system towards my problem. But I guess I came to the wrong place for help.

Zebras. I still have an issue smoking. All the hormones plus quitting is really hard. What helped me was stick candy and every time I craved a cigarette I would put a peppermint or spearmint candy in my mouth. It helps alot.

Way to be a ***** about a problem lots of pregnant women go through. Sorry we all can't be perfect like you but if you have nothing nice to say just shut up and don't even comment when it has to do with a woman with a problem. If she was being stupid by all means be mean but she isn't.

Try buying a brand you don't like maybe it will help cut the smoking down. I've done that and it worked you just have to have the willpower to not buy the ones you like again. I was a heavy smoker too the day I found out I quit the same day.
