hemorrhoid??

Question

i just went to the bathroom and had a bm. when i wiped i saw some blood....(sorry if tmi!)  should i be worry? im a ftm should i call my doc or is it normal? help plz! what can i do?

It's not bad for the baby, it can be caused from an increase in blood flow down there, or constipation. I got one in early pregnancy from increased blood flow, and it went away on it's own, if it's really uncomfortable for you, or painful, call your doctors office when your husband isn't around and ask for the nurse, just tell her you had blood in your BM and you want to know what you can take OTC for a hemorrhoid, she'll tell you what's best to take, or she might prescribe you something, and call it in.

thank you i am normally open about stuff with my husband its just this is something new and im not ready to tell him that lol. but thanks i made sure it was not coming from my vagina. i would of probably gone to the er if that was the case. i am going to talk to my doc i been getting constipated more now. hopefully she gives me something to take. :)

Make sure its coming from  your rectum and not your vagina. I have this issue and its awful, I bleed often after a BM. There is nothing to be embarassed about sweet heart, it happens to the best of us. My poor husband hears all about this from me hehe, but we have been married for a long time and I just dont get embarassed about it anymore. 

You can get a product called tucks, they have ointment and wipes. If its burning or itching I would also recommend preparation H with cooling relief. Also, to shrink them, after you have a BM make a bath with only 3-4 inches of water, and make the water as hot as you can stand it (this will not raise your body temp enough to harm the baby) and sit in the bath for 10-15 minutes. 

Also, its important to make sure you dont get constipated too, bc this will cause the hemorrhoid to become more irritated. Drink lots of water and you can add a suppliment called colace which is a stool softener that is safe to take during pregnancy.

It's most likely a hemorrhoid, unless it starts bleeding really bad, or you feel like something isn't right, I wouldn't worry about it. Pregnant woman are very susceptible to them, you can ask your doctor about what you can take!
