high risk due to clotting history?

I FINALLY had my confirmation visit yesterday. When I heard the heartbeat, my bad day was completely forgotten. When I saw it, it was even better.

I'm 9wk2d today, the babys heartbeat was 180 and everything looks healthy and normal.

I do have a question though. Are any of you high risk pregnancies due to a high blood clotting risk (I had multiple bilateral PE in May of last year)? How is your pregnancy coming along? If you are on medicaid for pregnancy, are your heparin/lovenox shots covered by it?

I'm worried I won't be able to afford my medication, as my BcBs considers it a specialty drug with a copay of $100 a month!

Any input is appreciated!

I'm hoping that mine will cover my shots also. $3 is a lot better than $100!

Im on Lovenox due to the fact that I've had blood clots in both of my lungs in the past.  Everything is great.  Im currently using medicaid and I pay only $3 as a copay. I get 36 shots at a time so my supply lasts a lil over a month.

I've had history of PE's.  I'm also on Lovenox shots and my doctor has me taking a baby asprin once a day too. I started shots around week 12. I have Kaiser health coverage and my copay for my shots are $30. I just hit the 20 week mark today and so far everything is going well. Good luck and congratulations!
