Pls help...

Hi.. I am 7 weeks and 6 days pregnant.. This is an unplanned pregnancy and my 1st too.. Initially my HPT's were not clear so I took my blood tests to confirm the pregnancy. The results were positive but the nurse told me that my hormone levels were comparatively low ( I dint ask the numbers :( ) . Then I had slight spotting during 51/2 weeks and now there is a brown bleeding for the past 3 days. I scheduled an emergency appt and got an u/s done. But we were not able to see the baby. Thro a probe test, we were able to see a bright spot and the dr told me that she cannot assure anything since she is not able to see if there is heart beat or not. Also she was concerned about my bleeding. I got a blood test again and my HCG is now increased to 19909 mlU/ml.. Anyone please let me know what is happening and am so scared because I don't have even a single symptom of pregnancy. Also I am new to US and don have much support over here like friends or family. My parents are quite worried and am not telling them much.. Someone please help me...

How long ago was your last U/S? I would request a follow up U/S in the next couple of weeks, being 71/2 weeks, they should be able to see your growing fetus, whether they can hear a H/B or not. If you go back and they can tell the baby is growing and they should be able to hear a H/B it will set your mind at ease. Do they have any follow up appt's for you? Blood work, U/S, anything? I didn't have many symptoms of pregnancy in the beginning either, so I wouldn't worry about that, and my doctor told me spotting was okay during pregnancy, as long as it's not soaking a pad an hour, or accompanied with bad cramping. Good luck, I hope everything turns out positive for you!!

I had  bleeding my whole first trimister and was considered high risk and a threaten miscarriage. This happend to me with both my pregnancies. My dr told me this was a norm for me. I had my daughter and im now 29wks with my  secound baby. It is stressful and heartbraking not knowing whats going to happend, but stay positive get plenty of rest. Best of luck and ill keep you in my prayers.

I'm so sorry your having to go through that, and not having a positive OB is not helping you I'm sure, 10 weeks is a good time to check on the progress, by then you should definitely hear a H/B, 5 1/2 weeks is still pretty early to hear a H/B, there are plenty of women that bleed throughout there whole pregnancy and still have a healthy pregnancy. I would be cautiously optimistic, but I wouldn't worry until you have to, if you continue bleeding, definitely see your OB, or at least call and see what she thinks you should do, maybe another blood test to see if your HCG levels are where they should be, and rising? I wish you the best of luck, and that you have a healthy 9 months!!

Hi.. Thanks for your positive words.. I had my last u/s only before 2 days. The dr was not able to see the baby. It was only a small bright spot that I saw on the monitor. My next u/s is on 28th of March,by that time I would be 10 weeks. But my dr was not positive about the bleeding. She told me that she can't assure me anything and this bleeding might increase and end up in a miscarriage. Also the bleeding has not reduced in 3 days.. It fills my liner and i think its more than a spotting... :( Am really upset..
