I've been off birthcontrol (DEPO shot) sine October 10th 2010 and i havent had my period yet,Ii had it the whole time I was on the birthcontrol. I've recently had sex (2 1/2 - 3 weeks ago) and I havent had it yet. If I get a pregnancy test will the effects of the birthcontrol (DEPO shot) effect the result? If it effects the result how can I tell if im pregnant?

Depo doesn't affect a pregnancy test. The tests use the hCG hormone to detect pregnancy, and the shot doesn't contain or mess with the hormones. When you come off of birth control, especially Depo, it can cause your body to go through a lot of strange things and can mess your cycle up. It can take 6 months to a year for the hormones to even fully leave your body. If you want an accurate answer, you can test now with first morning urine or see a doctor for a beta blood test.
