I'm 23wks and (minus the weight I lost this week due to complications) I've gained 7lbs. My dr put me on a special low fat diet and it is amazing, I feel so much better and its so easy I'll probably keep it up after baby is born. With my first I gained 37lbs and had no trouble losing it but it did take about 8mths. Like the other ladies suggested lots if vegies and 2 serves of fruit a day. Stay away from sweets and soda.

p.s. soda is another one that will pack the pounds on. try and drink at least a liter and half of water depending on your weight can make u need more or.less. if you absolutely need a pop drink something like coke zero caffiene free to rid the craving..however keep in mind that jas stuff in it that is not the healthiest so in moderation.

I didnt gain any weight at first. im now 24 weeks and finally gained 6 lbs. I try to eat healthier choices and walk. Always do something for exercise...even if its a walk around the block. If you have a day your hungry more than usual eat fruits or veggie snacks. avoid to much fast food or chips or cookies.  Stay away from sweets if u can.. tons of carbs and loaded with refined sugar and loaded with calories.

That is alot, you don't need to eat more just healthier. Your not eating for two, you only need about 300 extra calories a day,  assuming your not having twins. And try not to be lazy..  That part is hard for me

I'm 34 weeks and have gained 9 pounds. My doctor is so proud of me. He says I'm doing amazing and baby is growing fine. I didn't necessarily change my diet. I just incorporated healthier things like fruit. I crave strawberries, so I basically eat them every day. I have even put tajin on them to make them tastier... yum! The one thing I did change was walking every single days since the beginning, I walk 1-2 miles with my husband. It feels amazing and takes a lot of stress off my shoulders. Key thing to remember is to take breaks, have water and elevate your feet.

I would recommend eating healthy smaller meals a day... And walk or ride a bike. You never want to just stop eating to not gain weight during your pregnancy. My doc told me your baby wants you to gain weight... 25-30lbs through out. Walking is amazing during pregnancy. Exercise is really awesome for weight and stress relief.

I'm 16 weeks and gained like 12 pounds. I don't want to gain a lot so I try to cut back on eating.

Make sure to eat healthy,  and avoid eating foods high in sodium which can cause fluid weight gain.

My doctor recommended 5-7 pounds your 1st & 2nd trimester and 10 your third. I'm a ftm so don't know how that compares with actual weight gain. I'm in my 2nd trimester & haven't gained any weight but I also started walking 3x a week.
