Menstrual cramps on steroids and then I started vomiting and my water broke. I didn't realize it was labor with my first. But with my second as soon as I felt those pains I just knew I was in labor

Ive got a 2 and a half year old daughter.. Ive just made sure shes been involved with it all. she came to the scans and shes helped look after mummy.. she rubs palmers cream on bump and she gives bump cuddles and kisses. we already have a name for baby so that helps i think as when we talk about baby we use his name. shes always saying 'baby ollie' shes really excited to meet baby ollie.. i know things will be hard when hes here but if i keep her involved and not spend all my time with ollie she will be fine. she can help take care of baby by getting nappys and wipes for nappy time. help find babys dummy. help choose baby clothes.loads of things. im brestfeeding so i cant but if your bottlefeeding then you can get her to help feed baby. it will be lovely to help her learn to care and love her little brother. cant wait :)

I had a headache and lower backache for a few days then at 7pm on the 30th june 2010 my water went with a big gush. half hour later my contractions started as a light period pain. over next few hours my oh ran me 2 seperate candle lit bubble baths and timed my contractions wile i tried to relax.. when they were close together and i couldnt take the pain anymore he rang for an ambulance and got all the bags and stuff needed. helped get me dressed.. a paramedic came 1st with a bottle of gas and air (that i sucked empty) then got ambulance to hospital.. got wheeled in to l&d on the bed and then got settled in my room. Im not sure what time i got to hospital as i  had no care for time.. All i could focus on was the pain and the gas and air. but at 5:18am on the 1st of july she was born. So 10 hours and 18 mins of labour. I really dont no on times as time is non existant in established labour. an hour feels like 5 mins.. I think i was pushing for a couple of hours but to me it seemed like 10 mins lol... i think we got to hospital at like half 2 in the morning... not sure.. i was 6cm dilated when got there.. But every labour is different and every birth is different... as im sure you well no
