Car Accident/Medicaid

Okay so today I'm 9wks and 6days along in my pregnacy. October 4th my fiancé, step son and I got into a car accident. Air bags get off. My fiancés mom drove a to the er for me to get checked and they didn't do a sonogram. Everyone is asking why they didn't. Well I had my first drs appointment October 22nd so the day before I called to let them know my Medicaid was still in process. The lady told me she was canceling my appointment because without Medicaid they cannot see me. (Even though when I made the appointment the lady told me they would still see me but I'd have to pay for it. Well, I finally got my Medicaid and now they're telling me I have to change it to Dricoll Medicaid an that won't go through until December 1st.. What do I do?

When I had my car accident I went to the er and all they did was draw blood because he said he wanted to do an x ray but with me being pregnant he wasn't going to.

You can always go to the er. Tell them what happened and then when it goes through it will go back 3 months...

Momma,  I'm sorry this is happening to you.

The truth is,  though,  that there's nothing you really need to have done at this point.  I know it's really wonderful to get to hear the baby's heartbeat and see the baby on a US,  but that's all just for entertainment and curiosity.  Later in pregnancy,  when issues arise and they can actually do procedures to help have a healthy baby is when you really need medical care.

Best wishes.

I am and they are turning me away. They said I HAVE TO HAVE DRICOLL Medicaid.. And so I changed it to Dricoll but it won't start until Demember 1st.. They canceled my first appointment because they said I had to have the Medicaid not it being processed.. Doesn't Medicaid go back 3 month?! So why should that matter... I'm 10wks tomorrow and I'm not able to see a dr......

Why couldn't they see you? My medicaid didn't go through till my second doctor appointment and they still saw me on my first one. I didn't have to pay anything either.

Sadly medicaid confuses things. If you have already applied/ been approved for medicaid you cannot pay out of pocket for visits or they can revoke your benefits so that's probably why they canceled the first.

Call around to different doctors amd see if they will take your medicaid  its going to be a head ache but once you find one it will be worth it
