So I'm 39 weeks +4 and am so anxious to have my baby girl, but I still haven't lost my mucus plug and I'm only 1cm dilated and 60% effaced. Once you were this far along how long did it take until you went into labor? Any advice to help the time go by faster?
Effacement is the biggest thing, and sex can help with that, as can walking. Sex because of the prostaglandins in semen that help soften your cervix. I'd say stay still as long aspossible after sex to let the semen work its magic.
