Will I need a C-section?

Hello all!
I just had a quick question..
After I had my first child(he is two now) I noticed that I had a small hole under my skin if I poked my belly button. I figured it would close up but it never did. Now I'm 23 weeks pregnant with my baby girl and I just found out that I have a hernia.. my midwife said that my intestines are trying to come out of my belly button. It's very rare and they can't do anything until after she is born. Every time I laugh, it comes out really bad and is a little hard. I was just wondering if anyone else had this problem and did you have to have a c-section?

You could call into your doctors and leave a message with your question and they should get back to you

Well as I said before, my midwife wouldn't answer any questions about it and my doctor won't see me unless something is really wrong. I have another appointment with a different midwife the 30th maybe she will help.

Mm I would think yes that youd have to have one. . Just because of you having to push so hard to get baby out. But your dr should be talking to you about it I would think?

I'm a ftm and I had this lil ball/bump in my bellybutton too and doc said it was prob a small hernia but can't do anything bout it while pregnant. It hurt sometimes but hasn't in a while. I'm 33+4.

It is scary! I am scared to laugh, go to the bathroom, anything that involves using my stomach muscles. Plus I still have a lot of stretching to come. LO is getting bigger and that is going to cause it to come out more! My midwife wouldn't give me any answers and the hospital said that there is nothing to do about it.
