15 weeks and feel like a horrible mother

I had an appointment today where they pricked my finger to test my iron level. They did it twice and both times it was very low. Plus when they weighed me it shows I've only gained .2 oz. I try really hard to eat right and healthy. But I can't stomach anything that has to do with red meat. Be it look, smell, or taste. tonight my hubby and I went to dinner and I ordered sirloin beef tips and tried so hard for over an hour to eat just a few pieces and I can't do it. I feel like such a horrible mother and I'm so worried that my baby won't develop properly. Its overwhelming. :(

Green veggies are high in iron too. The best being spinach but I hate that stuff lol. Peanut Butter is high in iron too. Gotta love good ol' peanut butter and celery.

hehe i'm 20+4 and have "gained" -4.5lbs lol. and being anemic can be easily fixed with iron pills, like everyone said(: take your prenatals and you'll be fine. we have sooo much more medical care available to us now, than ever before. but when you do get your iron pills, make sure to ask for a stool softener too, like docusate, because they constipate you like CRAAAAZZY.

With the diet change, many women lose weight during their pregnancy. As long as you're eating something good for you, your baby will be fine. I'm 22+5 and I've only gained 1lb.

I'm taking flinstone vitamins bc the ones they first gave me were horse pills and having horrible morning sickness...didn't work out. But I'm gonna talk to my doctor about it. Its so weird bc I have a decent baby bump and it looks like I've gained weight (only in my boobs and belly) but everywhere else it kinda looks like I'm losing weight (face). Omg I had to soak in the bath bc after dinner got horrible stomach pains and my stomach got rock hard. As soon as I got out, it was like the scene from the exorcist. I have never got that sick. I'm done for good with red meat

Thanks. Its so hard bc that's my biggest fear. Before I got pregnant all I ate was junk food but since I found out all I eat is healthy stuff.

Awww you're not a terrible mom! That happens...just get some iron supplements, they don't taste bad or anything. I have been on them my whole pregnancy because I have been anemic too. And don't worry so much about your weight either...as long as you're eating and taking some kind of a vitamin you're doing great. I dunno if you have morning sickness or not, but I know that makes it harder too but its not your fault. And its not your fault red meat grosses you out. :) you're gonna be a great mom just because you are worrying so much.
