Anyone ever took cytotec for blighted ovum. is it effective

Anyone took cytotec for a diagnose blight ovum and waiting to m/c, how effective was it and did you have to have a d&c done anyway. Thank you for your respnse

I took it and they gave me percocet for the pain...it was not painless for me...I didn't take the percocet until I was in extreme pain which made it harder to control the pain.  SO, if you go that route, make sure they give you meds and that you take them before you are in pain.  Sorry to hear about your loss!  HUGS

I took it for my last miscarriage.  It was pretty painless.  I did not need a D & C afterwards.  I did need a D & C for my first miscarriage though.  But, to answer your question, cytotec was effective for me.  They gave me vicodin for the pain... good luck.
