how soon did the heart burns start?

That's the burning from the stomach acid. And yes, that is what heartburn feels like only it doesn't go away after just a few minutes. I do recommend seeing your doctor. Tums or Rolaids are good for temp relief but shouldn't be taken all the time while pregnant and chances are you aren't going to get relief for very long with them and could go through a bottle in a few days....not good.

thank you guys.mines is so bad at times,and mostly in the evening and through the night.has any of you ever woke up feeling like vomit was on your chest? like you were vomiting in your sleep but it did'nt quiet come up. seriously is this normal? have a great weekend.

I just started getting heartburn at the beginning of this week - I am 9w4d.  It seems to happen with anything that I eat and is a lot worse in the evenings.  It's currently one of my only symptoms, except for occasional breast soreness and feeling like I have to gag a lot.

My doctor said it was ok to take zantac. Ask yours first, but it helped my heartburn go away completely!

Unfortunately, my heartburn started at around 6weeks and I still get now at 22weeks...it's the worse at night for me! I take Tums but they only help for about thirty minutes...

surprisngly my heartburn started in my late 8th month and continued until i gave birth...not fun i know. Rolaids helped.
