hyperemesis gravidarum

So im Almost 14 wks with my second child. I havent gained any weight, actually lost 7lbs. Wasnt able to keep anything down not even prenatals. Ive been hospitalized 6 times so far for this disorder. I had the microinfusion pump but it didnt work well for me. Zofran causes a reaction for me. So I have dealt with this with no remedy and its getting to be too much. I had to quit my job. . i cant even enjoy life as i used to. Within last 4 days i have been able to eat a full meal but im right back to old ways now. Who had this disorder and when did u see full relief?

My cousin went through the same thing. She was hospitalized and lost about 35 lbs. She got a little relief at the end. On tge bright side she and her 1 yr old both ended up healthy.

My nausea wasn't bad enough for hospitalization, but I did end up taking Zofran this pregnancy and had to be careful about what I tried to ingest to stay nourished and hydrated. I would say it was after 16 weeks when I finally felt some relief and by 18-19 weeks, felt pretty good. That's about when I started gaining weight over my pre-pregnancy weight. I'm still a little rocky sometimes at 33 weeks but it's mostly smells that trigger a gag reflex now. As with the previous poster, this is my second pregnancy and my nausea was way worse this time around! Good luck - I hope it subsides and you can enjoy your second trimester!

I was hospitalized once and lost 30 pounds. I'm taking zofran now and am 14 weeks. I still feel nauseous from time to time and I was wondering the same thing. I thought that I would start feeling better since I'm in my 2nd trimester now. This is my 2nd pregnancy and my nausea is way worse than my 1st.
