I was also told that it is more effective if you are already dialeted and thinned out.
Thanks for you're answers lady's! For me it was very painful. I actually had her stop the sweep at some point. I hope it works. I need this baby out. I've literally true everything haha!
Sorry I accidentally hit post! Cramps are good! I also experienced these to the point I could barely walk but they weren't consistent so I didn't think much of them
I think it varies. I had one done with my first and my water broke the next day but I wasn't contracting so had to get pitocin to get them started. A friend of mine had it done and went a week before hers broke and she didn't have any complications.
I've never had one either, but I've heard it worked right away for some and not at all for others. But cramping is a good sign! That's supposedly what beginning contractions feel like. Was the membrane sweep painful?
Hey I'm a ftm and never had one done but I read someone's post about there sweep about a month ago and the answers I read differed some woman said ir worked and the next day they went onto labor and some woman had mentioned it did not do anything to them and fhdu had to get induced best of luck hun
Google it. People probably don't know what your talking about.
