I went for a nice long ride today...was awesome. I still go fasr BUT not like 120km lol. Im very careful. My horse is old and im always careful. The hardest part is getting dressed up in my gear...bending over is a challenge!! Lol my ob doesnt know yet...but in reality how the hell do people get around in the arctic...i could tear my placenta just getting bumped into...some ppl lol
Ive never been on a snowmobile but it sounds fun :) only thing i could see would be a tipping over factor but there wouldnt be anything to worry about unless youre trying to drive up mt everest lol my mom and hubby always tell me to make sure i eat im like hello?! I liked to eat before i got pregnant you bet i want to eat now lol and my mom had kittens when i drove to my aunts house by myself i was only 15 weeks at the time you cant even tell im pregnant :/
Just always keep in mind women used to throw themselves down stairs when abortion wasn't around. Guess what nada. Were made to carry and carry safe. Im a countryish type girl. I go hunting and riding and have w all my babies
It's not so much labor they're concerned about with horseback riding, it's issues with the placenta. Any sudden movement can cause your placenta to detach or tear.. but that can happen walking and falling or running, pretty much anything. BUT I'm a worry wort so I listen to my doctor all the time haha
Before there were cars we rode horses. Remember ppl?? Mankind wouldn't have survived if a few bumps would cause labor.
People are the same way with me. I ride dirt bikes, during the summer I got on mine and everyone freaked out. I wasn't very far along and I only went slow and just rode around camp not even on trails or anything. I ended up just riding quads for the rest of the summer to make everyone a little happier. My doctor said as long as I go slow and am careful it is fine.
My doctor said absolutely no horseback riding (I don't though, so it wasn't a big issue for me, don't know why he came out and said that haha) and as long as you go slow on the snowmobile I can't see it being an issue. I'd tell them politely you're a big girl and you know what you're doing.
I don't see how the snowmobile ride could be any worse than a car ride, especially if you are taking precautions, and they don't advise us not to ride in cars lol. And horseback riding can be therapeutic, I wouldn't think it would be dangerous if you trust your horse. I would tell rude people to shove it!
No reason to be so rude tho! Gahh. Im so careful its ridiculous! Im a farm girl and im bundled to the nines when i go out, wear a helmet and my belly band!
It's just not recommended cuz it can be harmful especially as you and baby get bigger. People are going to talk nothing you can do. Just make sure your doc knows you are doing that and don't stress!
