i need some expert help please!

hi im 18 years old and about 2 months ago my boyfriend and i had protected sex and ive been on Levora regularly, and never missed a pill. I got my regular period(or so i think) about a week after that(on time) but it was a little lighter that usual but same length of time. The next month I got my period on time as well. Some of my friends tried to scare me saying that you can have your period and still be pregnant which made me worry so i took a pregnancy test about a week ago (about a month and a half after id had sex) and it was negative. I swithced my BC to YAZ recently and this is my first pack of pills. I'm a week and a couple days away from getting my period but wed-sun(today) ive been spotting, amd having clumps of blood fall out when I use the bathroom. Sometimes its bad enough that it left a stain in my underwear. This morning I woke up and found a big clump of browinish black (i guess discharge) in my underwear. This is really kind of scaring me, and Id really really like any advice that you have on either things.

BC will mess that up.  It makes your blood clot.  But I have friends that got pregnant on the pill

Any blood from that *area* that is brown or dark is considered old blood. ANd like Laura said, switching BC can mess your cycle up. I went from BC pills to the Depo shot and I bled for 5 weeks straight...all which was old blood.

If your that worried you can have your doc run a pregnancy test on you, and you can speak to him/her about the side effects that you may have with yaz.

I agree with Laura, I don't think you are pregnant, I think it's just your hormones from switching BC.

Besides even though you can have a period and still be pregnant....It is extremely rare.

Switching BC can mess up/change your cycle.

I am not an expert, but I would say it's likely just your body respoding reacting to the switch. I doubt you would be pregnant since you are on BC and used protection when you had sex w. your bf. I would call your Dr. and notify him/her of the spotting and see is if s/he is concerned. Did YAZ come with a pamphlet of side effects? This may just be one of those?
