ibs in pregnancy

Hi ladies, does anyone know if pregnancy affects ibs? Iv got severe ibs and bloat and get terrible belly pains. Iv just found out im pregnant and worried it will get worse! And crave the foods that makes it worse! But overall im really excited and happy♡

I have severe IBS. And this is my second pregnancy. The first went so smooth. It actually took all of my symptoms and pain away. It was amazing. Well this is my second and they did not go away this time. So on top of my IBS I've got freaking pregnancy problems as well. And it gets painful at times. Now at 36 weeks I'm constipated and it seems to make my tummy hurt pretty freaking bad. Can't win for losing lol its all worth it in the end though!!

I'm 24 weeks today. I hav gallstones, acid reflux nd IBS. Everything has gotten better since my pregnancy except the heartburn. I was rele scared becaz I was told that being pregnant could rele upset my gall bladder nd IBS a lot. If Uve ever had gallstones they very painful but so far everything is fine. So I wouldn't worry too much

I got sharp pain in my sides I thought it was due to my ibs but apparently its just all part of pregnancy x im 8 weeks today and so far apart from those dull sharp pains ive had no other problems

I have it and my midwife said that the meds that I'm currently taking are fine for me to take while pregnant but I don't need it right now. I normally would have diarrhea every day but now I'm constipated

It's depends in the pregnancy. Had diarrhea the whole time with my son's pregnancy. Lost 20 pounds or more the first trimester. Learned to only eat at home due to fear of becoming sick in public. This pregnancy my ob's has switched. I have had it this way for more than a year. Been on listeless to help with my severe bloating and constipation. It is the only thing that every helped. Stopped taking it a month and a half before trying to get pregnant and am completely miserable. I got multiple hemerhoidd some that bleed. I can go a week or more without going the bathroom. My husband has been freaking out buying plums, prune juice, activia, and so on. It's helped for a while but stopped. Going on day five and in so much pain. My stomach is so swollen. It *****! Not to mention it's embarrassing.
