if sex will induce labour how long would it be

im 38+2 and will ty to have sex see if it startes anything. if it works roughly how long after sex should i start seeing signs

i had half a pinapple last night and sex this morning. so far nothing other than bad belly ache under my bump

Last Wednesday I was checked and wasn't dilated at all. Saturday we had sex.. Sunday night I ate half a pineapple and Monday morning ate another whole pineapple.. I started with contractions Monday night and I was 1 cm.. my water broke Tuesday morning and when I got to the hospital I was 1cm still and within an hour went another half a cm.. don't know if the sex and pineapple had anything to do with it or just a coincidence

Sex worked for me less than 24 hours after and our beautiful baby girl was born

i'm not sure i could hack it every day as i find it very painful.
however this morning we did have foreplay and my boyf said i was nowher near as swollen as previous times and i enjoyed it and it didnt hurt one bit. every oher time ive made him stop coz of pain. i wonder if that means im relaxin ready for the birth?

Yeah good luck....i been having sex 1-2 times a day for 2 weeks now tryin to get things to progress /: it really stinks nothing is working it seems like. I'm 38+6 I've been 70% effaced for 2 weeks and 1cm dilated since Saturday night. Had a few contractions here n there but nothing consistent. Hopefully you'll have better luck than i. Lol

With my first I had sex almost everyday for the last 3-4 weeks and a lot of walking. I actually started contracting the day before I had my son after I had sex showered and took about a 10-15 min walk. But I ignored the contractions until the next morning the by time I got to the hospital and they broke my water I only waited a few hours till my little man was here. Now I'm pregnant with baby number 2 but only 21+2 as of today. I just want April to hurry up already lol

I was in labor 2 hours after sex with my first. I did also have my membranes stripped 2 days prior.

i wish i could find out if my cervix is ready or still weeks off. im in England and they dont do internals until your well into labour.

With my first I went into labor two hours after sex. It didn't work with my second and my third I couldn't have sex due to medical problems. It may not start labor but it may help to speed the process up a little. It all depends on how prepared your body is. Good luck.

Sperm has prostaglandins in it that help soften the cervix. You might feel some cramping afterwards because of this. But unless your body is ready it might not help. But hey cant hurt to try:)

It's a slower process than you think! lol Depends on how ripe your cervix already is and all that jazz....if you orgasm on top of everything then that could help you along as well! :)
