Thank you, Ashelen! I will try the pelvic lifts and leg rotations tonight. I appreciate your advice. :)
Could be that your SI (sacroiliac) joint is misaligned...I slipped when I was 15wks pregnant with my son and I whacked my SI joint out of alignment...hurt like CRAZY....and it did what you did, sharp paints right around my tailbone and into my pelvis on the sides....I got a belly support belt and did some pelvic lifts and eventually it went back into place.
try lying on your back, flat, since you're only 8 weeks, or with your head on a pillow if you feel dizzy or nauseous, put your hands flat on either side of your butt, and gently tilt your pelvis up...thrust your hips up and forward and repeat this motion a few times, then with your butt flat, gently lift one leg at a time and move it in a slow circle..sometimes it can help by moving your hips and in turn moving your SI joint. my OB always ttold me that when his SI joint got out of alignment he would put a tennis ball behind it and bump his but backwards against a wall and it would help realign it...it was a very funny visual I must tell you and I never tried it...but the pelvic lifts helped a lot...also getting on your hands and knees and rocking gently can sometimes help realign it especially as you get farther into your pregnancy.
