none pregnancy related question. roku streaming?

Hi. Sorry I know if I post this on the web I wont get any responses for awhile. I dont have cable but I have Netflix and wifi. I keep my laptop plugged into my tv to watch my shows on netflix but i hate when my husband is trying to watch something and I need my computer! Will a roku solve this problem for me? I would mostly be using it for Netflix so I wanna make sure it works well with that. But I dont wanna pay 50++  just for that. Will I be able to do other things on it too without subscribing to anything other than Netflix?  Thanks for your imput and sorry for posting thos here again!

You could get a chrome cast.  Its $35 and just plugs into the hdmi slot in the tv.  Its the size of a usb. It pretty much turns ur tv into a smart tv.  You will need to use an android device or download chrome on a computer.  Your computer would still be usable you just would want to open another window on ur computer if you are using the internet.
