Take them with a big glass of orange juice. Either 1 hour before you eat or 2 hours after. Your body can't absorb the iron on a full stomach and you might wind up coming back up and trust me, its horrible when that happens. But definitely take with orange juice. The vitamin c and citric acid helps with absorbing iron

My doctor told me to take my iron with food its the calcium that prevents you from absorbing the iron...take it with any type of juice the vitamin C will helo absorb and make sure you drink LOTS of water because it changes the ordor of your urine.
