is it normal...

I'm 32w 4d and I can't wait to have my little surprise baby with me already. I've been having a lot of itching on my vaginal walls. I wanted to know if it was normal. I've also been having a lot of yellowish discharge and was wondering if it can be part of my mucus plug?

The itching is tolerable and its not an all day thing. It is bother some tho. I don't think its pre term labor but I just wanted to make sure it wasn't any kind of infection or something that might cause for a c section.

I'd say then it depends on how comfortable you are..if the itching is irritating, or the discharge increases, or you begin to cramp, you need to push up the appointment..if however you can tolerate it you are PROBABLY OK to wait until wednesday, although I might call monday morning just to touch base with them and make sure they don't want to check you :-).

Even if it were your mucus plug, many women will lose and regenerate their mucus plug multiple times during pregnancy - I have with all three of mine. But since labor is WAY too early at this point, if you think you may be experiencing pre-term labor signs you should head to the hospital immediately...anything else going on that makes you think things are changing?

Itching + yellowish discharge usually indicates a yeast infection. WHen is your next appointment? if it's not soon, I'd go ahead and ask them to see you at the beginning of the week so you can have it treated - you don't want to be recovering from a nasty yeast infection AND labor at the same time!

I would for sure run it by your Dr to rule out any type of infection just due to the itching and colored DC... its very possible that its all completely normal but its always better to get checked to be on the safe side :)
