TMI, Semen smelling discharge: BV or sign of mucus plug & water breaking?

Okies mamas, need my mind putting at rest & it's too late to get to hospital. 23+1, For the last few weeks I have been feeling damp down below & have started to notice a semen smell to my discharge but I haven't had sex in over a week. I've heard & hope that it's just a case of BV (which I'm going to get checked out) but I've also heard that it could be the start of my mucus plug coming away & that my waters could break soon which obviously isn't what I want to happen just yet. I just wanted to know what other mums experiences of this are? Should I just make a regular appt or actually be concerned & get to my nearest antinatal clinic asap? xXx

Semen smelling discharge..
Well regular healthy semen would smell just like water. So if your discharge just smells like that then that's actually very good. If you said it smells like fish n eggs then their may be an issue, then again maybe not. But saying it smells like semen, just means its regular discharge which increases in pregnancy, and your about the time of when it does. Your fine

I've never heard that discharge smelling like semen could mean your water breaking...if that was the case then i think mine prob shoulda broken weeks ago lol. Id get it checked out if you are worried about bv but your discharge is going to change multiple times throughout pregnancy.
