I drank a glass of wine on my wedding day at the time I was 10 weeks, I'm now 27w6d and doc says my baby is doing great! Is really healthy and is measuring right on track  :D

No, a sip of wine is not dangerous. No, a sip of beer is not dangerous. If your doctor gave you the go ahead then go for it.

Im craving beer. I hate beer. Its weird but id never even take a sip.  Its better to be safe than sorry. A smell here and there I do when my partner has a beer but not drinking it or 'sipping'

Drinking a soda a day or even have a cake a day is so much worse. Sugar during pregnancy is something you should avoid! Sip of red wine is fine. Research on the sugar also! Defently something a baby doesn't need! Especially daily

Red wine is not all that bad. Yes its alcohol a sip here or there or even a glass once in awhile is fine.  My sister drank wine throughout her whole pregnancy with my niece and she is a healthy and smart lil two year old. If anything ask you're doctor they'll tell you if you can or not.

Soda isn't healthy, but you can have one a day.

Soda isn't healthy either. All the sugar... Cafine. And if you do diet then you have all of those chemicals. I have had a sip of wine with my daughter. We were at olive garden and it was literally a sip just to try it (I love wine!) But that was all I had... Well besides all the alchol and cigarettes I smoked at 4 weeks (when I didn't know of course) but there are so many things out there that are bad for you (that ppl think are ok) it's scary. Any way, one sip I wouldn't think would do anything. But ONE SIP is ONE SIP... Not a glass.

Oh well I don't like alcohol either. Anytime I have even just a little craving, I smell it & it reminds me of how sick it makes me & the cravings go away. Maybe try that?

If you take an actual "sip" as in just enough to get a taste, there isn't going to be enough alcohol content to cross through the placenta or cause harm. If the smell didn't make me nauseous I honestly would probably have a small glass but this is something that you have to decide for yourself if your okay with it.

No no no not at all I don't like alcohol in general pregnant or not I was just randomly craving it. I dont like the taste of wine in general so I figured if I reminded myself it wouldn't br a craving anymore thats why I had asked

Is a sip worth any possible harm to your baby? I say maybe drink a little soda eat something or go out and keep your mind off of the wine. Some docs say its fine others don't recommend it, but its ultimately up to you
