Yes id say you should. They have been made in the far east and then shipped on a boat for over 6 weeks with god knows what and then in store rooms and shops having people touch them! Once you have washed make sure you check all socks/booties and mittens for loose threads. If they get wrapped round their little toes or fingers it causes nasty injuries.
Ive heard you should wash all clothes, brand new and used of course. New clothes have something the manufacturers put on the fabric to prevent it from wrinkling, some type of chemical. Don't know if its true for all or not, just something I read
I am only bc so many ppl touch them in stores. only being cautious
I know people who don't or haven't and their baby's have been fine. It's whatever you prefer. I washed all my daughters things just because I even wash new clothes before wearing it especially my bras and paties. Ive done it since before my baby so it's a habit for me.
I'm not just the clothes that been given to me and been worn.
I've heard that it's debatable either way. Of course they're new clothing but who knows why touched them or coughed on them or anything while they were in the stores. Using a non scented non dyed detergent helps get rid of anything that might be on there but I don't think it's a necessity. I simply got too excited that I'm getting closer to my due date and felt the need to wash all her clothes so maybe that will happen to you too!
Some say you should, but I didn't with my daughters clothes and I'm not with my sons. If I got it used I washed it though.
